Opportunities Relational Horsemanship LLC offer’s for the general public
Relational Horsemanship (Novice) – for horse enthusiasts and owners. No experience required. Open to ages 16 and up, or 12 and up with a parent or guardian present. We provide the horses and equipment for those who are not horse owners. The last few sessions offer the ability to bring your own horse to class.
Relational Horsemanship (Beginner) – for those who decide they have a passion for groundwork and Relational Horsemanship we increase the challenges in this class. Learn to recognize horse personalities and help problem solve identified issues. Introduction to Liberty work.
Introduction to Riding and Trail Riding opportunities for no more than 4 people at a time. The goal of these classes is to gain the skills to trail ride. You do not need your own horse for this class.
Introduction to Horse Camping! Finally, for those who have always wondered about or had an interest in horse camping. A class that teaches you. Be prepared for the many challenges of camping and get the opportunity to set up and camp on-site & go to a local horse camp as a group.
** If you have taken previous classes from us and you do not own your own horse you can “lease” one of our lesson horses for camp.
Manistee River Challenge– This 3 day on-site event is open to horse owners wanting to challenge themselves and their horses with a daily “challenge teaching/training session” followed up by a practical application on the trail. This event can host a small number of participants. We offer no frills on-site camping opportunities attached to some of the best riding in the state or you can trailer your horse in daily.
In addition to the daily scheduled events offered will be evening fires, for those up for the challenge a night ride opportunity and cowboy church on Sunday morning.

As one of the instructors involved with programming at Reining Liberty Ranch in Traverse City Michigan year round. I teach & co-teach numerous classes at the ranch through out the year. Here is a list of the classes and programs that are offered free of charge to area Veterans;
Grand Traverse Horses 4 Heroes: Current classes include: Relational Horsemanship (Phase 1), Intro to Therapeutic Riding (Phase 2), Intro to Trail Riding (Phase3), Intro to Off-Site Trail Riding (Phase 4) and Veteran Rides.
